| Nancy
Kaupp Ewin was admitted to the California State Bar in 1982.
She did her undergraduate work at San Diego State University,
majoring in Comparative Literature, and obtained her Juris
Doctorate from Western State University.
Nancy has practiced law for over 25 years
exclusively in the areas of estate planning, trusts, wills,
powers of attorney, elder law issues, conservatorships,
probate, trust administration, elder law and Medi-Cal planning.
She maintains a private practice in La Mesa.
Nancy has been certified by the State Bar
of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist
in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. She has authored
and co-authored many articles. Most recently she has contributed
to the CEB legal treatise on special needs trusts, published
December 2007.
Nancy has been a frequent lecturer on estate
planning and management for professional groups and public
forums.
Nancy is Adjunct Faculty for the Cuyamaca
College Paralegal Program, teaching classes in Probate and
Estate Planning. Nancy supports the California Advocates
for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR). She is a member of the
National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, is a member of
the Foothills Bar Association where she currently serves
as Co-Chair of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section
and is a member of the Board of Directors. Nancy also serves
as the President of the Board of Directors for the Southern
Caregiver Resource Center - a center for counseling and
respite resources to adults who provide care to elderly
parents, other family members or friends.
Nancy and her husband, Ernie Ewin, enjoy traveling
and spoiling their grandchildren. |

| Carolyn
joined Nancy in 2006 to form Ewin Brock LLP. Carolyn is
certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal
Specialization as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust
and Probate Law (2004).
Carolyn
has been practicing law for 12 years, working predominantly
in the areas of Estate Planning, Trusts, Wills, Probate,
Conservatorships, Trust Administration and Corporate/Business
Law.
She
graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego,
California in December of 1994. Carolyn was on the National
Deans List from 1991 - 1993, and a member of the San Diego
Justice Journal law review writing staff from 1992 –
1993. Carolyn is a member of the State Bar of California
Trusts and Estates Section, and has lectured on Estate Planning
for professional and public groups. Carolyn is a member
of Wealth Council, a national consortium of estate planning
attorneys. Carolyn is currently the president of the Lawyers
Club of San Diego East County Chapter and has been a member
of the Board of Directors of the Foothills Bar Association
for the years 2006 to present and currently serves as Co-Chair
of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section of the
Foothills Bar Association.
In
her spare time Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family
and her Grandson. |
